Discount Cards | A3 Table Menu | Till Signs x2
BOTTOM LINE: Create supporting print material for Frango’s Restaurant based on the exisiting logo and guidelines.
KEEP IN MIND: Till sign messages should promote offers and catch the eye.
LITTLE EXTRAS: A spice level was required for the main menu for which I created a custom icon.
Christmas Card Design
BOTTOM LINE: At that special time of year I often have clients who ask me to create a custom Christmas card for them.
KEEP IN MIND: Sometimes it needs to reflect what they do as a business, sometimes they are more festive.
LITTLE EXTRAS: The design featuring the nine christmas trees was based on the Sanctuary logo which is nine dots the is also true of the other Sanctuary card. The Talk Condo card design was for a real estate developer based in Toronto.
BOTTOM LINE: Commissioned by Future Publishing, Papercraft Inspirations magazine to create various paper designs for reproduction in the magazine.
KEEP IN MIND: The patterns must be A5 in size.
LITTLE EXTRAS: The papers featuring birds and bird houses were for a Spring themed issue, the floral idea and ring design were for Mother’s Day. The final sets consisted of six papers and two sheets of complimentary tags and ribbons for use in cardmaking projects.
Logo | Brochure
BOTTOM LINE: Design a logo and brochure for a high-end property development in Thurrock.
KEEP IN MIND: The logo must be multi-purpose and work equally well on small and large format work.
LITTLE EXTRAS: Supporting concepts for this job that I did whilst working with a London agency were signage, banners and billboards.
Brochure – A5, 8 page | Pull Up Banners x3
BOTTOM LINE: The client required a brochure and pull up banners for an event he was attending. The purpose of these were to promote his business and make it stand out from the crowd. Using the orange from his logo was a way to achieve this when we considered that most other accountancy firms used a more conservative colour palette.
KEEP IN MIND: One consideration for this project was that the banners should work together as a set but also in isolation.
LITTLE EXTRAS: I sourced printing costs and a supplier for both the banners and brochure on this clients request.
Logo Design | Tri-fold Leaflet | Tickets | Poster
BOTTOM LINE: Update existing Concerts at the Castle logo and create a visual identity for each of the three themed events. Design supporting print material to promote the concerts and unique tickets for adults and children across the three nights.
KEEP IN MIND: Themes of the nights, disco, featured band UB40 and tea in tea in the park. Must appeal to all ages and they need to contain a lot of information so key details must be easy to locate.
LITTLE EXTRAS: Sourced a print supplier for this job and provided logo files for use on the client’s event website.
Magazines | Publishing
BOTTOM LINE: I worked for 8 years in a publishing and have serveral current freelance magazine contracts.
KEEP IN MIND: My publishing work has covered numerous titles across a range of subjects. My skills encompass all aspects of magazine work including flatplans, photoshoots, creating page layouts and styles, working on new and launch titles, image photoshopping, cover design, style sheets, graphs and charts, typography, high resolution file creation, and PDF upload systems.
LITTLE EXTRAS: This section shows a selection of magazine covers and spreads I have designed.
Logo | Concertina Fold Brochure
BOTTOM LINE: Whilst working with an agency in London, I was asked to design a logo for a new property development being built on the coast of Cornwall and create a brochure concept to promote it.
KEEP IN MIND: The development will be marketed to adults who enjoy a laid back lifestyle close to the beach.
LITTLE EXTRAS: I made some worn textures for this brochure that were overlaid on the images and inside pages. This gave it a weathered feel reminisant of wind battered-beach huts and salt eroded paint.
Logo | Business Cards | Tri-fold Brochure | Banner Stand
BOTTOM LINE: Design a logo for a Seven Early Intervention. A new social work initiative.
KEEP IN MIND: The word Seven should be the focus as this is the umbrella brand and other divisions will come under it in the future.
LITTLE EXTRAS: Supporting graphics and imagery were sourced for this project and the approved logo design was carried through all subsequent material whether for print or web use. An interesting feature of the business cards was that each one had a different quote on the reverse.
Leaflet | Advert | Voucher
BOTTOM LINE: Design two A5 leaflets featuring different service for Greeni Landscapes. The advert design was for the Yellow Pages and had a very short turn around time.
KEEP IN MIND: The voucher will need to work together with the leaflet.
LITTLE EXTRAS: In order to make this a cost effective print job, the voucher was created at one third of an A5 sheet, this meant that six vouchers could be cut from an A4 and it could be stapled neatly to the back or front of either leaflet.
